Baby weight gain

Hi all,

I have a 6 week old and she was born 10.5 pounds. We are only just at 11 pounds as of today. Although she is gaining weight it's very slow. I'm feeding her every three hours and working as hard as I can. Between bottles and breast.
The Dr said that she's not concerned about it anymore but I just can't let it go.

Anyone else have a baby gaining weight slower than the recommended amount?

As long as baby is happy and full at feedings, I would not worry about it. And If she’s hungry, she’ll let you know.

My baby girl gained weight so slow but she ate well and had energy. She was only about 14 lbs at a year…even now she’s about 24lbs at 3, but she’s a peanut. But again has lots of energy and eats when she’s hungry!

Thanks so much for these stories! Dr put a lot of fear into it all and hard to tell what's like actually really life vs text book.
