Tylenol and Ibuprofen for teething
I honestly just need reassurance. My baby is a VERY hypersensitive teether. Every tooth is weeks of pain, fussiness, biting everything, and sleepless nights. Also, it’s always such a drawn out process because every pair he’s gotten has never come in at once. He gets one tooth from the pair and then the second one takes 1-3 weeks after the first to come in. So he’s in pain that entire time. And to top it all off, he’s just turned 8 months and already has 8 teeth
What I’m concerned about is the amount of ibuprofen and Tylenol that we go through and if he’s gonna be okay? Every time he gets a new tooth, the week of is torture for everyone. He will not stay asleep at night for more than 30 minutes without some type of medicine. So I end up having to give ibuprofen or Tylenol at bedtime every single night for 1-2 weeks for every single tooth that has come in. That’s a lot of medicine 😭 Of course we always stick to the dosing instructions. Only sometimes I will have to redose in the middle of the night as well, but I will say that is rare.
Is this going to negatively affect him? Will he be okay? Has anyone else been through something similar?
Also- we have tried just about every single natural remedy on the market and that you could think of. Nothing works.

I feel so awful giving it to him often but he's suffering so much without pain relief 😮💨
As long as you don’t overdose… it’s not forever and those are made for baby’s! It is food that you o ly give it at night
Before giving pain killers you can try:
.Giving ice or frozen milk to lick on with a feeder
. Try Weleda teething powder
. Try Weleda teething suppositories
. Try teething gel: organic plant based and something stronger. I try the light one first and then go stronger depending on her need
Mine is also very much in pan every time.
This week she would not settle without paracetamol and ibu 😵
