How do women find the time or energy to look pristine after having a baby? I used to have my nails, eyebrows, hair, tan done constantly! I can now barely be arsed to shave my armpits!
I need someone to tell me their secret, I feel like a bum.

I can’t financially afford to get those things done but I always ensure I’ve got my hair and make up done to leave the house. No matter how long it takes 🤣 I think if I didn’t still make time to look after myself my mental health would be terrible. When my daughter goes to bed that’s my time then to do my self care, hair wash, face mask, tint my eyebrows, do my tan. I think somewhere in a routine you just have to find that time for yourself (I am a solo parent so it may be different if you’ve got a partner to have the baby)

Is your partner supportive in giving you time to yourself? I think that’s the key. I breastfed for 3 years but my partner is very hands on so it was never an issue going to get my beauty appointments done

It was easier after my first but having two it’s harder.
I just have to make time. I use the mornings when my 3 year old is in daycare to go for huge walks to exercise with the pram. I also use those days to go into town with the baby and get my brows done as babies are fine in benefit.
I don’t get my nails done anymore which I miss but I don’t get time without both and it’s not safe in a salon.
Hair cuts I book last minute on treatwell when I know my husband is definitely not being called in. Literally an hour before when I can guarantee he’s not getting a shift.
Everything else is done after 8pm when they go to bed. I’ll watch tv with a collagen mask on or do a workout or have a bath. Nighttime is me time.

Same lol I have zero help though. I have microbladed brows and dye them once a week because my brow hairs are lighter than the tattoo. I use jergens gradual tanning lotion only on my face and neck because I don’t have time or energy for self tanners anymore unless it’s summer. I don’t get my nails done anymore, I just keep my finger nails groomed weekly, no polish. But I def like to do my toenails and just put polish on them and scrub them weekly. But I space everything out. So I’ll choose one beauty task or so per day when I have time because my baby takes a lot of my time and energy. I’ve also been trying heartless curls or rocking the claw clip or low buns. If you can get your lashes done at least that will save you a lot of time and you’ll feel more put together daily.

Not here to give advice just say solidarity. I feel so unkempt all the time and I hate it. My nails are trimmed but some days I'll have one that broke off 2 days ago and I still haven't trimmed the rest to match (natural nails). Most days my hair is just in a ponytail or a mom bun stuck on top of my head. I never wear makeup although that's not all that much difference from prebaby. It's really difficult. My baby is ebf and idk how but when I go to do something at night she times to perfectly to wake up right in the middle of it. Can't tell you how many times I've had to get out the bath to feed her.

Being a present mother comes with tradeoffs. 🫶
Remember that this is temporary. In the meantime try to simplify your routine and regularly set time apart for grooming.

It’s been 2.5 years and still don’t know the answer 😩

Its been 15 month and im just out of my big i dont care knickers

I’m new to this but i used to get my nails done every three weeks. I can bring my baby, but it’s not the same. My husband is super helpful and I can go get my hair done and nails done but definitely not on a schedule like I used to be.

Yeah I used to do my nails every 2 weeks but now I just wear press ons I make I don’t really have time to do my nails every 2-3 weeks and I mostly watch our baby myself my partner works Monday-Saturday 4am-5pm so he’s really not here and when he is he’s sleeeping

I think the key to this is having a supportive partner

I never spent much time on my appearance to begin with so not much has changed. I did stop shaving my armpits though and I can’t shower as often as I used to.

I have a 3.5 year old and an 8 month old, I have been LOST to motherhood. Send a search party 😅 I barely have time to brush my hair, my hair washes take serious coordination, takes me 4 days to clip my toe nails (from when I notice they need a trim). I will get back to some kind of me at some point, but now is not it.
