Prayers please

I'm 16 weeks pregnant. Having pretty substantial bleeding from a placenta that is detaching. My cervix it's dilated to 1cm and I have cervical funneling.

I feel hopeless that my OB on call is not willing to consider progesterone, cervical cutlage, or other treatment to prevent preterm labor. She expects me to wait until my baby's heart stops then medicate me to have contractions and deliver.

His heart is still beating strong at 152bpm. He's moving and I can feel him being active. I'm going through stages of grief and trying to remember that nothing is over until God says it is.

If the God who raised Lazarus from the dead, who stopped the woman's bleeding, who promised eternal life in Him can do that, what can't he do to see my son through this? If you're not a person of faith please feel free to move past. If you are, I ask for your prayer to uplift my child and pray that our God would be supernaturally present and with us through this, and to help me in my unbelief as I struggle through this borderline grief.

I was bleeding out in the ER for nearly six hours before I got to L&D then transferred to my hospital of choice to actually receive care. I've recorded his heartbeat. I'm still hoping for a miracle. This could be an exercise in futility to some, but I believe ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ

Just wanted to update that bleeding has stopped and baby remains stable. Despite all initial assessments we seem to be clear! I'll be in L&D until Monday and a Fetal Maternal Specialist will be here to evaluate and plan next steps. God is so good, just wanted to share and praise what I can only describe as a miracle ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผโค๏ธ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ

I would change my OB immediately. Wait until his heart stops beating and deliver him at 16 weeks?! So he can spend the next 20 weeks in an incubator??? The doctor sounds like a psychopath.

Praying that our Lord will heal your body and your precious little boy, and give you an immeasurable amount of peace and hope through this entire process. That no matter what happens, your baby boy will only know love, whether growing inside your womb or with all the angels and saints in Heaven in the loving arms of our Lord Jesus Christ. โ™ฅ๏ธ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป God bless you and your baby boy. ๐Ÿฉต

Praying for you โค๏ธโค๏ธ. I lost my last son at 18 weeks, very similar, was dilated and started bleeding, but perfect heartbeat/ healthy baby when I arrived at the hospital. They had me sleep on a reverse incline in the hospital(not my hospital, just nearest)โ€ฆbut my hospital would not take transfers. They said cerclage stitches could have helped but I could not get to my real hospital in time, my water ended up breaking a day later. They made me prepare for the worst, said the baby really needed to be closer to 24-26 weeks and it could have had a chance to survive in an incubator. I spent 4 days in the hospital, needed blood transfusion, etc. You are strong, you are in good hands, hope you have more success than me. You can get pregnant again and you will be stronger advocating for proper care if this does not work out. Best of luck โค๏ธ. Here for you if you need it

I got discharged today after my OB confirmed there is NO MORE threat to the viability of this pregnancy. I follow up in a week. Bed rest. Just overwhelmed with gratitude and in shock. It'll take time to accept the results of the scan, but the Lord is so good ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ’œ

That is amazing!!!! Best of luck that the rest goes smooth โค๏ธ speak up when something doesnโ€™t feel right, ask lots of questions, ask them to keep monitoring your cervix length. Rooting for you and your family ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ
