Clutter cluster 😝

We moved houses before I was pregnant, had big plans to declutter
got pregnant (was sick then too tired), about to enter last month of pregnancy and although I wasn’t too mobile, I had a regain of energy. The plan was: a month to declutter before baby is here. Now, baby was born premature and I haven’t had a chance to bloody declutter. More stuff has actually added on with baby’s arrival

I’m so so so sick and tired of my home which doesn’t feel homely
it gives me anxiety. I don’t have any family here so no one that can pop by and help.
I’m feeling depressed about it and it’s stealing moments with my baby away from us.

Please any decluttering service you’ve used (does it even exist?!), advice or recommendations?
Xxx

Went through something similar, I moved house when baby was 6 months and needed to spend time declutterring before hand. It’s extremely overwhelming isnt it?! Things which helped me was not setting the goal too high. I just did things gradually either whilst baby slept or put her in a safe place (highchair with toys etc) one day I may have done the under stairs cupboard whilst she just watched and just made sure I sang and interacted with her. Yes it’s 10x harder and it takes 10x longer but I finally managed to get there in the end. I’m sure these services do exist, but it may be worth hiring a skip (if your clutter is getting thrown out) which would help with tip runs/over flowing bins etc. xx

I had plans to get organised before my LO arrived, I had 4 weeks booked off work and he arrived 4 weeks early so it never happened. To start with I felt totally overwhelmed and started to fall out of love with our home but I am slowly starting to feel like im getting back on top of things now. I keep doing micro declutters, so say whilst he is in his high chair I will open a drawer/cupboard and challenge myself to get rid of 5 things and keep repeating this until im happy with that space. I have an ongoing donate box and take it when its full. It's challenging and slow but can be satisfying and if it makes me feel even 1% more organised then its a win!

We moved when our first was 10 days old (would not recommend). Nearly 4 years (and another child) on, we're still living in total clutter đŸ€ŠđŸ»â€â™€ïž no advice, just solidarity. I'm sure it will get easier one day! Xx
