I personally wouldn’t take anything unless I’ve been advised by the hospital. What have they told you to do?

I did loads of research on low dose aspirin for this purpose and after multiple early miscarriages I decided to self medicate low dose aspirin for a cycle. I got pregnant and stayed pregnant that cycle, had my son. I’ll never know for sure but personally I swear the aspirin made the difference for me. It’s been a few years since I did that research now but I believe it improves blood flow to the uterine wall which can thicken the lining to aid proper implantation. So with that in mind I started taking it about a week before ovulation. When I went for my first midwife appointment at 7 weeks I told them I was on it. They went and got a consultant who came to speak to me and agreed I should keep taking it until 36 weeks pregnant. He said ‘can’t harm, might help’. And I believe it helped. I think the most important thing is to ensure you don’t have any of the contraindications for aspirin x

I had two losses back to back and read into baby asprin so I ended up taking this the cycle after my last loss. I didn’t fall pregnant again for a further 2 cycles (1 of which we purposely didn’t try) then kept at it until close to birth. My son is now 1. It’s used a lot in America but not something that’s even mentioned in the uk. I would start now and just continue it even if you don’t fall pregnant this cycle x

Thank you for this information. I’m sorry to hear about your losses and can resonate, as I have had 3 early miscarriages, 2 being chemicals and 1 I lost at 9 weeks and had a d&c. I have taken aspirin and progesterone in the past (for my 9weeks pregnancy) but since my d&c, I haven’t and haven’t fallen pregnant, so I am wondering, maybe the aspirin did work, as I did fall pregnant then. I think I might give it a go from tomorrow, as I will be 3DPO then. Hoping for a miracle!!
