My child’s father kicked my door down today because he was angry. The police came here got an incident report. Everything was filed, but I haven’t gotten any update on what happens next. I haven’t been able to get anyone out today to fix the lock, my door is completely off the hinges and I pretty much have to sleep here tonight with the door wide open because I can’t get anyone here to fix the door till Monday.
I know for a fact, he hasn’t been picked up yet because he is still calling me threatening me . I just don’t feel safe with a young child here, the door doesn’t lock. Does anyone know how I could get information on this to see when he will be picked up or anything?
I called the precinct thats dealing with the case and there’s no answer. They just haven’t answered for the last four hours. I don’t know who else to call, I tried 311 and They transferred me over to the precinct but again the precint is just not answering. I’ve been trying to get a hold of them for the last four hours. I’ve just been like sitting at the door, anticipating him coming back and I don’t know what to do

You need to tell them you fear for your safety. Use those exact words. He’s hurt you before and you are scared he’s gnn do it again. You need an order of protection even if it’s temporary till you take him to court .

Is there any way u and ur baby can stay at a hotel for the night or until everything gets sorted?
Or do u have any friends or family members that live close by that can let u stay with them until things get sorted
Most likely the precinct that took the call is nearby. I would go to the precinct to obtain an update on the report and let them know you fear for your safety and the child’s safety. They would likely tell you that they are working on it. If there is a family members home you can stay at until Monday that would be another option. Also file a temporary order of protection at the precinct and file one with the courts.
I don’t have money for a hotel and the only family I have are in Pennsylvania. Idk what to do
Can family send you money for the door or hotel? I know it’s embarrassing asking say you’re sorry for asking but you have to figure something out .
Go to the police station, and tell them you have no door and fear for you life, if you don’t have a neighbor / friend please call an emergency shelter and ask for a place tonight, also reach out to your landlord or super and tell them the situation and ask him to please but up a temporary door tomorrow. If they don’t call 311
