So my daughter is 3 days old and has jaundice the midwife came yesterday and today and has tested her bilirubin levels and it’s following the line like it should be. But has anyone dealt with this at home. My other two never had it so it’s making me feel a bit nervous. 😥 she’s has plenty of wet nappies today but no poo since Friday.

Both of my boys were Jaundice, my first was over the limit for weeks, but just below the levels for treatment. It’s so so common, as long as she is feeding well and as you say, lots of wet nappies then it should start to reduce. Both of my sons had to have further testing and the heal prick test to check the cause of the jaundice which is common practice if the levels are still high after a certain timeframe, and both times it was down to ‘feeding related Jaundice’. So despite babies feeding really well, this can still be the case. But really, it’s nothing to worry about as long as her levels are decreasing as they should be when she’s checked by the midwives. Try to get her outside in the daylight as much as you can!

My boy was jaundice too. We just put his Moses basket near the window so he could get sunlight, he had it till day 14! X

Seen the midwife today and the number is still not coming down so they have now sent off for blood tests.

Both my children had jaundice and I was told to sit them by the window with the sunlight coming through. It helped a lot as my son was borderline further treatment but luckily it went down x
