Illness in the house
My 2 year old has a really snotty, stuffy nose and has been kissing our 6 day old. This is our second child so we wrapped the first in cotton wool a bit but there’s only so much that can be done this time. The newborn has a tiny bit of nose stuffiness already. Has anyone else been through this? My anxiety is through the roof and my toddler picks up colds every couple of weeks!

My baby is now 19 days and has had a cold for the past week also from my toddler. We ended up in A&E where they checked him over and everything was fine just told to keep feeding him. He’s been slow gaining weight as his little body is fighting off this cold 😢 Not a lot you can do when you have a toddler at home! X
My 2 year old had a stomach bug in the first week of our newborn - I was very worried, I just didn’t deal with any of the 2 year olds toileting etc, washed hands more, tried to keep contact off baby etc - luckily nothing came of it. I think it’s just one of them things you have to get through. Hopefully when the babies start school or nursery they will already have a decent immunity to all the bugs from their siblings!! X
