Hi everyone. I have tried everything to increase the milk output in my left breast but to no avail. I am a second time mom. 11 weeks PP, breastfeeding and pumping. My right breast is the main supplier and even baby prefers to feed there as the left is always low even if he feeds on the left or I pump I could never get more than 1-1.5 oz ever! My right makes 3-4 average sometimes 5 oz on some morning pump session. Any advice? Or an explanation why this is happening?
P.s with my first baby it didn’t happen like this. I made similar amounts on both breasts

I was advised to feed baby on the left first and then transfer to the right. Plus power pumping really worked for me. Took a few days to really kick in but definitely made a difference. Staying VERY hydrated. Eating often. Hot compress. Everyone is different and so is every pregnancy. Hope something helps out soon

Definitely check the appropriate flange size for your nipple as 1) your nipple size constantly changes 2) we often need different flange size per breast. I constantly pump less on one boob because of this and i can feel it being full but not emptied because the pump is not effective. This can also cause blockage/mastitis. Or maybe try a different pump if you have a chance (for me a cheap manual pump works so much better than wearables). Good luck!

Do you pump on the left while you LO nurses on the right? My dude had bad reflux so he fed lightly, but often. I knew I was bluring together which side he ate on last and he may be eating unequally or not emptying the side he was feeding on so I started using my Haaka while I nursed so I was more likely to be emptied evenly.
