Tiny bit of blood red/spotting at 29 weeks

Came to triage because of tiny bit of spotting/very very light bleeding, baby looked fine on heart rate monitor. Anyone else had this before? I’m 29 weeks.

I've not had this myself but is your placenta low? I was told at my 20 week scan that because I have a low lying placenta it could cause some light bleeding.

Yes at 27+1, 2 weeks ago. First dr I saw (before having low placenta confirmed) wasn’t too worried and said it could continue to bleed for a few days. 2nd dr (after confirming placenta was low, but with all scans showing it was fine) was a bit of a scare monger, but I’ve been fine since and baby has been wriggling about every day (now 28+5)

I had some spotting around 23 weeks and went to triage too. Got examined to see where the bleeding was coming from. Was told it was likely due to a slight case of cervical ectropion - something about cells on the outside of the cervix that are sensitive and can bleed a bit due to the extra blood flow and hormones. One of the joys of pregnancy! Thankfully haven’t had anything since. Hopefully your spotting will stop but definitely let triage know if it keeps happening!

I had a few dots of red spotting this morning at 31+1

Phoned triage and they said to just monitor it and come in if I had more or if baby’s movements decrease, but I haven’t had any since and she is reassuringly active today
