Chickenpox Vaccine

Has anyone’s little one had the chickenpox vaccine? I’m pregnant with our second and my boys not had them yet, I’ve been debating paying for the vaccine for a while but really not sure what to do.

Interested to know others experiences 😊

My little girl had the first dose in october and second in December.

We paid for it as I was pregnant with our son (born 6th feb), so we wanted her to be fully vaccinated by the time he arrived.

She cried briefly for both jabs but had no adverse reactions - not even a temperature.

We don't regret paying for it and having it done as it helps add that extra layer of protection to our newborn 😊 x

Heya! I'm in the exact same position.

I had been thinking about paying for it late last year (although it's quite expensive!) But as they had announced that it would be rolled out on the NHS from this Jan I decided to hold off, but it doesn't actually seem to be available properly on the NHS yet

I believe ours will get it at 3years 4 months on the NHS.

However my son had chicken pox a few weeks ago so not relevant to us 😅
