i don’t have anyone to host one for me and it feels super weird to ask someone to (if they wanted to they would) so i’m wondering if it’s weird to throw yourself a baby shower….. lol

I think I’ve only been to one baby shower where it wasn’t the mam to be who was hosting/organising

I threw my own baby shower with my first! My friends and family don’t give 2 shits about me so I was booked a pavilion myself and sent everyone invites in the mail! They felt entirely obligated to show up cause I sent a fancy invite 😆😂😂. They all think they’re slick and can get away from doing literally anything for me. So yeah I got the presents I wanted and it was a terrible time! But I def showed them I don’t fuck around when it comes to me and MY family. They are atrocious people and will not be included with my second baby, at all.
Since I’ve gotten pregnant again, they’ve offered to 1. Take my baby and 2. Give my older EVIL sister a way back to the town IM in. And everyone knowwwws I hate her. Offer to buy her a car and an apartment.
While I’m a single mom with 2 kids. They’re money hungry savages and God always tells me, best thing I can do is to keep to my damn self. Cause they look like idiots flaunting themselves around in Mercedes while I don’t even have a husband 😂

Literally 0 people asked me who threw my shower. I don’t think it’s a big deal and with a dwindling village I’ve seen more people doing so

Is this an American thing because in the UK it’s normal to host your own

Accidentally hit yes... but no dont matter, I threw both of mine

I threw my own baby's shower. Everyone enjoyed themselves with no complaints or judgement

Do people really know who “throws” the shower anyway?

I threw one of my own baby showers at my house 🤷🏽♀️ lol I dont see how someone can think thats tacky especially if you need things and dont have someone that'll do that for you!.

I didn’t have one because I thought it was weird to organise my own. Massively regret it now. Organise it!! 💕

I threw my own baby shower family members told me I should have asked them they would have done i would ask 🩷

I organized my own and just asked family members to bring a food item or drink. It was amazing and super memorable

My mother and MIL KEEP telling me I don’t get a second baby shower “that’s just not a thing” and it makes me upset especially because we’re in poverty and could use the support and also I love to have a party and see friends and people I care about so absolutely you can throw yourself one or ask someone you trust if they’re up for it

My SIL and I are both pregnant with our second so we are jointly hosting a sprinkle for ourselves.
