Pointing

If it’s any consolation he’s literally just started a couple days ago, and now it’s all he does. I never even showed him how to point tbh and he just started doing it. So defo nothing to worry about x

My 1 year old started last week after being nursery for the first day, showed no signs of doing it before then!

Mine turns 13 months next Friday...still not. He does look at things and will even go and get something and bring it to me if I ask...just no pointing. I'm not really concerned (maybe I should be).

Mines 14 months and only just started to point but it’s only when he’s in bed. I wouldn’t worry some kids just skip doing things and all different my first did a lot more but my second just isn’t doing anything x

My son has been pointing for a few weeks. Except its with his middle finger, so he's just flipping strangers off when we're out 🥲

Every Baby is different, my first didn’t until she was just over 13 months old. My 2nd has been since she was 10months old. She will get it eventually and when she does you will be so excited. Try not to rush it too much. It goes by so fast. I completely understand the worry but she will get it soon. Ur doing amazing muma!! X

Thank you so much ladies. Good to know we aren't the only ones here but also good to know it can happen suddenly too! Will keep doing what we are doing and i'm sure all of our little ones will be pointing in their own time xx

Mine isn't pointing yet either. He's not clapping or waving either. My first son wasn't doing any of these at this age either, though he was less sociable. He started pointing first and I think it came between 13 and 14 months if I remember right.

We must be a bit slow here in Australia because it’s an 18 month milestone for us! Child & family health nurse here. I certainly wouldn’t worry if a 12 month old is not pointing! But maybe we’re just a little relaxed 🤣
