I cannot stand when the male lead gives the female lead a nickname/pet name like "little one" ICK! What are some pet names in books that have given you the ick? Have you never gotten the ick from pet names?

Just read a book where the FMC called her boyfriend “bub” and it made me cringe every time bc that’s what I call my son and little brother
Omg same, anything too infantilizing grosses me out, even “baby girl” I’m like ew lol
