I’ve got a circle table for us all to sit round, but our dining room is joint with the playroom, and it’s quite cramped!
Because our table is in the middle of the room it gets really cluttered and the room just looks really messy, literally no where to walk! (This picture is from when I did a big tidy up, it gets so cluttered quick with it being our boys playroom!
I don’t mind getting a new table a square or rectangle one
Give me inspo on what shape table and where to put it!

I don’t think it’s the table.. It’s the size of the room and there not being any floor space. Especially since this is a multi function room.
It kind of looks like a homeschooling room.. Could you put some of those bins/toys in other areas of the home.? If not, maybe look into getting build in cabinetry or shelves to put away the bins that are taking up the walkway
Edit: Replace that small brown cabinet with a large ‘sideboard buffet cabinet’. That’ll definitely add more storage too. It’s what I did for my home classroom.

the table isn’t the problem it’s the incorporating of the play room with the dining area.

I woukd switch to a banquet against the wall and a rectangular table or even corner banquet/table set

You can get collapsing tables with collapsing chairs that store inside the table. Not ideal, but means you could completely get rid of the table during play time?

Or extendable table

if you need to display those pictures put them on a shelf on the wall. put those plastic containers on the right ontop of the brown cabinet. I also see stuff in the corner by the right window by the curtain not sure what that is .. I would just minimize honestly

I don't see a tv or sofa. Do you have a living room? Might be best for them to play their if you have more space in your living room. Ours is split in two, space for the kid to play and the sofa TV on the other side

I have a space saving two seater table and I put it next to the radiator in the living room which is by the window x
Thank you!!
The brown cabinet is full packed with board games and toys, the tall grey bins next to it are full of cars and other bits like that, the tubs under the window are full of his Lego and play-mobil, and round the corner where you can’t see is another tall plastic bin cabinet full of his arts and crafts. The bits along the side are just there because there’s no where else i can store them.
My lounge is the same size room and we already have a book shelf and corner for them and a big toy box in there for them to grab. Not really any space for me to move things in there.
Their bedrooms are also not great sizes but I think the toys down here are downstairs toys anyway, if that makes sense!
My kitchen is a room on its own and no room for even a small table there.
I think I might have to get a table I can close down when not in use or have a small square table against the wall (only the 4 of us).
I just hate how it’s right in the middle and no where to walk and play on the floor!

It's practical but looks a bit sad, maybe half moon table. You can also get a taller toy storage furniture to include everything or most, on less floor space. I have this one.or an IKEA Kallax with basket
