What do people wear whilst giving birth? ๐Ÿ˜‚

Do you have any recommendations of comfy pjs/loungewear sets to wear after?

Hospital gown if you are planning for a hospital birth, I had loose fitting front open dress/night dress and some dressing gown with me for before and after though, for easy access.

A big t-shirt/ gown/ dress that has button so you can open top part for skin to skin if you want it. And then for after Iโ€™d say size up for comfort the pjs sets from Primark long trousers I loved and short sleeve top with the buttons as I was breastfeeding.

Whilst I was in labour - as little clothes as possible ๐Ÿ˜‚ I wanted nothing touching me - it's a bit of a blur but I believe I laboured in a sports bra and my underwear. Afterwards I just wore a comfortable button up pj set that was high waisted that I get from Primark.

Crop top/bralette both times! If youโ€™re UK, I love Sainsburyโ€™s pyjamas, or primark boyfriend pyjamas

I went bougie and bought a Lila labour gown. I figured if I had to labour...might as well be comfortable and feel pretty.

For actual labour I think I was just in a bra - mine were both v quick so I donโ€™t really remember! For after I had button up pjs or nighties for breastfeeding - I love primark pjs for this!

I had a water birth so I was just in my bra๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ then I was in a hospital gown because I had to have a lot of stitches and a catheter, but I did bring pyjamas with me that I never got chance to wear, wore them the first night I got home ๐Ÿฅฒ

I had bought a loose fitting top for the day but it got completely covered in various bodily fluids, so I wouldn't put too much effort in it tbh ๐Ÿ˜… You think you'll care before hand, but most likely, you won't think about it when you're actually in labour.
After - anything loose fitting, natural fabric, with easy access to boobs ๐Ÿ˜‰
