Hi Everyone!
I am having a planned section for my second baby at the RUH on Thursday. I have BIAB (builder gel) on my nails, their guidance says to remove which I can but has anyone had an experience of having to? In my naivity, I only had them done a week ago 🤣 x

I had my nails done especially! Granted it wasnt a planned c section, it was a planned induction (high chance of c section, which it did result in).

I had my son by planned c-section in St Michaels, Bristol, in December, and had gel nails, I specifically left one of my nails free for the oxygen monitor and then they put it on one of my other fingers anyway and it worked!! It was just clear varnish with silver glitter in, but you may be ok. I know it's a different hospital and slightly different nails, but thought I'd share my experience x

Its going to be sods law isn’t it 🤣🤣 - I have had lots of friends where it has not mattered but wondering whether just to take it off!

I had a planned C Section at the RUH and got my nails done especially, BIAB and they didn’t say a word

I had mine done for planned c section at Southmead and they all commented on how nice they were and never had an issue with them
