I am 32 yo and have unexplained infertility. I did my first retrieval. Retrieved 16 eggs, 9 fertilized, 4 embryos made it to Day 5 and are biopsied for PGT-A testing.
I am nervous and not sure if we will have success with FET or if I should do another retrieval.

I was 33 when I had my FET and my little girl is now 16 months old eating her fish fingers. FETs are just as successful as fresh, just have a little faith in your doctor that they know the best method to use for your body, we’re all different.
Sending you lots of baby dust, you’ve got this 💪 👶 🧚 xx

It depends how many come back chromosomally normal and also if you want sibling for your first child. 4 is a nice amount if euploid 😊 but you are young and if you want reassurance, banking done more is reassuring. If I wanted a second or third child, I’d keep some extra in the freezer. Xx

It’s hard to say because some people only need one embryo and they get pregnant and get an Earthside baby other people go through 20 embryos and they get no baby. It is better the younger you do it though so if you could afford another cycle, I would do another cycle and then if you have ones left over in the end, you’ll have to decide what you want to do with them, but at least you have them if you’re one of the ones that need extra embryos to start and continue your family. We went through eight embryos to get our first son and then our second son we went through three embryos we had to do two retrievals we did not test our first eight embryos.

You're young with unexplained so I personally would see if they're euploid and go from there. I also have unexplained and did kind IVF. Got 6 embryos, all 6 made it to blastocyst. My fresh is a crazy 2.5 year old and my frostie is 4.5 months. We still have 4 in the freezer. I was 33 when they were collected. None of my embryos were tested either
