Missed miscarriage at 11 weeks

It feels like shoots and ladders. Go back to beginning after all that exhaustion, nausea, peeing, weight gain, insomnia. Would love any tips for physical, emotional support.

39.5 and had my first child in 2024. Started trying for my second in Nov 2025. Got pregnant Dec 2025 and now in March 2026 miscarrying.

There was a heartbeat at first US but two weeks later no heartbeat-stopped developing at 7 weeks. Two weeks later heart beat was gone and development the same. Had to get D&C this week.

Sending love and support to anyone else on this wild rollercoaster.

I just went through a miscarriage a week ago at 11.5 weeks. Technically, it was a missed miscarriage but I didn’t know until then.

My big tips for you:

1. However you decide to expel the pregnancy is up to you. I personally preferred the control of doing an abortion pill. If this is the route you’re going through, happy to chat more about the physical aspect of that

2. After taking the abortion pill, physically I’ve been perfectly fine - I waited about 5 days to work out but once I did, I felt better. It was definitely harder than before, but I was able to do it

3. Emotionally - strongly recommend taking time off work if you can. I went straight into work and it was not a good idea. Take time off to let the grief run over you. Even better: have your partner take time off, if you have one, and spend time with you.

4. Really lean into your village right now. You’ll need it.
