Any opinions on the mums that say “that’s not a book, that’s a film”. Because I swear they need a punch on their gullet.

I don't comment on anyones outfits however it does low key annoy me when its obviously a film and not a book lol

I just think sod it their only babies and don’t really understand until a certain age let them dress as they want 🤷🏽♀️

My son dressed up as jack from the nightmare before Christmas wasn’t that hard to find a jack skeleton book for him to take in
And last year he just wore his spider Halloween costume and I just said he was incy Wincy spider
I get it’s world book day but not everyone can afford a new costume every year just for one day and if your child’s happy what does it matter almost every film has a book if you look hard enough I’m not going to upset my son because jack skeleton is from a film not a book he was happy and that’s what matters

I would never comment on someone’s costume but dressing from a film does detract from what world book day is meant to be about

Feel free to punch me in the gullet 🙋♀️🙋♀️ cos I cant stand seeing people who literally dress their kids up as Jim from Friday Night Dinner and then want a huge pat on the back for it 🙄 the clues in the title... World BOOK Day... celebrating characters from BOOKS...

I think it depends cause a lot on films were books before BUT everyone should remember they’re kids. My daughter wanted to be a pirate, so she was and she was happy 😂 I’m not arguing with a 4 year old about whether she’s a book character or not

Did you dress your kid up as Jim? 😂😂

I dread dressing my kids up for world book day. Let them just enjoy the books!

Lmao I thought the whole point is to get kids excited about a book and show them that books have awesome characters too so sorry
