Meltdowns at 4 years old?

I feel like I’m losing my mind. My child is having toddler like/ worse meltdowns in the evening. I don’t know if it’s from exhaustion or emotions. But she erupts from 5pm. (Witching hour??) I’m at a loss. She’s mostly screen free/ limited and only watches slow shows or films. Is active in the day and we are firm with boundaries. Follow a good routine in the morning and afternoon.

She’s become clingy and shouts/screams and takes 30-40 minutes to calm down. Really struggling to communicate to her. I know she’s clearly going through something but wow it’s hard!!

Is this normal??? Anyone else had this at 4?????

I feel like she’s changed the last few weeks into this crazy little person. 😭😭😭😭

Help with writing

My son is 4.5 years old and an August born boy so youngest in his class. We eventually decided to send him to reception and didn't differ or do part time school and so far he's managing really well. Last parents evening they said he's doing well in all areas but does struggle with his writing. He told me it takes him a long time and he doesn't know what letter comes next. He knows all his letters verbally, he is ok at reading but again isn't his favourite activity. We have a meeting to discuss with teachers on Friday but just wondering if there are any fun writing activities we can do at home. He has lots of wipe clean books etc but he's not interested and easily distracted. We recently got an Amazon Fire Tablet that we only allow to be used for educational purposes, are there any apps on there I can use to help him with letter formation and writing out words?

World book day

Any opinions on the mums that say β€œthat’s not a book, that’s a film”. Because I swear they need a punch on their gullet.

Baby milestones

Anyone else back in the whiney/tantrum stage again from their child has turned 5 or come close to turning 5?

Has anyone found their child is back in the whiney/tantrum stage again from they’ve turned 5?? Her birthday is Saturday and she had grew out of it before she turned 4 and I thought we were past that stage lol but over the last month I’ve really noticed it pick up again. No major life changes or anything have happened so I’m not really sure if it’s just developmental or just a stage/phase.
