They've got their first illness since starting school. It is relentless. They've had it for days now but my 3yo had very warm temperature 2 days ago, but he went in yesterday. Today my 5yo has very warm temperature, not fevers. Given calpol. Just sore throats, congested type of thing. Very chesty coughs. Teachers seem okay with them being in as they haven't said anything

Our school expects them in with a cold unless its sickness or diarrhea basically or if they get put on antibiotics which they have to have at home for first 48 hours before going in check your schools sickness policy or phone the office and ask

My 4yo daughter is the same, she’s also passed it on to our 5 week old as well. Her school says as long as she doesn’t have a temperature then she should be going in to school. We have a ‘feeling under the weather’ form to fill out so that the teachers know who to keep an eye on during the day, and they call us if she gets worse or needs a calpol top up.
