Talking with partner

Hi, just wondering if anyone else's partner works 12 hour days? My partner always says he is too tired to talk about things with the kids (like dates for parents evenings etc) and so we just skip talking about it. Are there any good tactics on how or when to best time a conversation?! He seems either always at work or so tired from work he doesnt want to deal with life admin.....

Make a list of dates and WhatsApp him at work or put the list on the fridge and ask him to look at it. Put the dates in his calendar in his phone with alarm reminders

I dont understand this at all. If you are awake and not at work, then you can and should be talking? Sounds like he need to get a grip honestly.

What does he do for work? I know a few people that work long hours and still make time for family the weekends. I have a few friends that have demanding jobs, they always put their fun/smiley face when having dinner with family every night despite long days. Is about loving their family enough to make an effort, maybe not every day since he's knackered, but at least the days he's not working

Write everything down you want to discuss and tell him to book a time in with you to go through it.
If it’s dates etc that have already been decided / booked in then I recommend the app TimeTree. It’s a shared calendar so you both have it on your phones. Then you can put all the dates in (we all have our own colours so it’s easy to see who’s doing what) and then it’s his responsibility to check it. You get a notification every morning with the days events on

am i over reacting or ?

my bf just told me i need to go on walks because all i do is lay around and sleep... when i work full time still, manage to take the dog out when it's time and actively clean up around the house ?! i got upset bc it's like he's implying i don't do anything but sleep/ lay around but i only do on my days off... when all of it was a reminder to do his hair when he gets off work ? tb "you can go on a walk bc your body will be tired a lot some i'm not used, im playing around bc i used to burn 400+ calories a day".

Temperature

My 7 month olds temperature was 39.4, i gave her calpol and an hour later its 38.5 (we rung 111 and are taking her to A&E) but could this be due to teething or something else?

Baby is not passing urine

My son is 13 months, had a fever over the weekend and had lighter nappies. Had HFMD the weekend before but that cleared up last week. Fever is down but he hasn't peed all day. Nappy this morning was so light and wee was concentrated and smelly. Have him electrolytes yesterday but today he's refusing. He's been drinking milk and water, but still no pee. He had a soiled nappy but no wee. He's also had reduced appetite. Vomited once yesterday. 111 referred me to my GP but they're going to close in an hour and are taking long to pick up anyways. Thinking to just take him to A&E? Im unsure when to wait until as I have no idea when he last actually peed, as he's been drinking today so should've weed

Anyone had something similar? I'm thinking it's different to the hand foot and mouth as the sores are gone but could it be related?
