Baby shower/brunch

This might not suit you/ your friendship group, but I had a "Nesting Party" which was absolutely lovely. People came to my house with meals for the freezer so that we had good food for when we brought baby home and were too tired to cook.
My friend organised it for and did a simple but but great party buffet.
I came up with a list of tasks that needed done before baby arrived and they got assigned to people as they arrived depending on their preference and skillset.
So much got done and it was such a weight off.
Friends hoovered out my car and fitted the isofix base, put together the beside me crib as well as furniture in my baby's room, various DIY tasks.
I got an A3 frame and stuck different scan pictures in it and people wrote welcome messages for him.
