Virtual baby shower

Does anyone have tips on how to throw a virtual baby shower?
Like itinerary, timeline, paper invitations or electronic ones? How long should it be? If you’ve had one can you please share your story so I can kinda get an idea of how to plan for it.

Everyone in our friends and family group lives in different states and really have no idea how to go about this.

My MIL recommended a virtual baby shower and that made me super nervous.

I’m contemplating not having one at all because of how awkward it maybe especially in my situation

Who usually sets up the baby shower, traditionally? I don’t have a sister or cousins nearby and my mother cannot be counted on to host it

I did a virtual shower for my cousin back in 2020.

I did digital invites and sent them to the guests phone numbers that I gathered from my cousin.

I did favors, cookies, a drink kit, and printed the games out on paper and had people do a gift drop off at her house where they could then pick up the favors from a basket on the porch during the week of the shower.

Then we did a zoom link for the shower and I screen shared for the game(s) and did a walkthrough of the drink kit (it was Disney themed so it was a Dole Whip drink).

My cousin doesn’t like to open gifts in front of people so we didn’t have that as part of the zoom.
