Slow weight gain

My twin girls were born at 31+3 and did really well during their NICU stay and were stable other than needing support with feeding.
We are home now and breastfeeding / giving bottles of EBM + SMA fortifier but the girls aren’t gaining as much weight as the dietitians would like. Any suggestions or tips as I feel like I’m failing a wee bit!

The girls are now 10 weeks old xx

My little chap is 5.5 months old and is only 9lb12oz. Just below 0.4th centile.

The only way I managed to get him to put on weight better was to change him to formula to be honest! He had 3 months of breast milk which was great but then weight started tailing off, switched him to formula and now every week he’s putting on decent

He’s on SMA gold prem2 xx

Also … you most certainly aren’t failing. It’s amazing what you’re doing and it’s so hard to feed via EBM! We did it for 12 weeks and it’s so hard xx

My son was born at 31+4 in 2024, he tracked below the 0.4th percentile for a long time. We came home breast feeding with one bottle of EBM + fortifier a day as well. The only thing that helped him gain weight drastically was we continued breast feeding and then added one or two bottles of high calorie formula (prescribed) a day for a couple of months until he got to the 25th percentile.
He’s now 16 months old (actual), eating food constantly and we are still breast feeding.
I opted to keep the one bottle of formula per day so my partner could also do bedtimes.
I found the decision to add formula very difficult after being so adamant to exclusively breast feed so I relate to the feeling of failure.
Feel free to message me if you want ☺️
