Switched Birth control

Decided to switch from my Mirena IUD to the Depo Shot today. Started feeling sick not long after having my shot. It’s the feeling of wanting to be sick but not puking. Just curious if this is a side effect or what. Also ate to make sure I wouldn’t feel sick.

I got the Depo shot one time. And had the worst headaches. I never got them again. I started the Mirena, but I’m about to have it taken out because I’ve been bleeding since I got it in January.
The ring was the best bet for me, but I got pregnant on it twice. I think the Depo has ridiculous side effects. I hope u feel better.

Depo will make you put on a bunch of weight that won't be easy to lose. I am at 250lbs and I'm 4'6. I gained 100lbs just from depo. Haven't been able to lose it

I did the Depo shot for years, and always hated the black box warning on it. I ended up switching to Mirena. Had it three separate times now. I SO SO SO LOVE the Mirena….

I tried Depo & the Mirana IUD and both didn’t work our for me due to side effects. I know fatigue, headaches, weight gain are some of the top side effects with Depo. I would just give it time for your body to get used to. If you feel like something is really off then contacting your doctor would be your best bet.

I had the depo shot and switched to mirena due to the side effects of the depo shot. Plus the constant weight gain I wasn’t a fan of either 🥴

The weight gain people talk about is due to the side effect of increased appetite, it doesn’t just make you gain weight so if you keep on top of it you’ll be fine for weight gain. I think the side effects completely went for me after the first round. Second round I had light spotting, now on my third or fourth and don’t bleed at all

I have never felt nauseous or threw up. Could you have caught a bug at the doctors office?

Stay away from the depo ASAP there is a class action law suit right now against them the shot is causing brain tumors in many women. Not worth it … I have tried mirena , nexplanon, in the arm and the pill .. honestly the pill had less side effects mirena made me bleed forever and the nexolanon got lost in my arm I’m not sexually active because my pregnancy was to traumatizing so I don’t even want to take the chance at all good luck finding something that works for you

Iv been on the depo for many years
When you first start out it's normal feeling sick ,having cramps
Major mood swings
Give it time and you find its like you have never had a period
Just make sure you don't wait to the due date I always work out the 12 weeks
And have the shot the week before the due date
