Maternity leave payments

I have done my paperwork through Centrelink but when it asked how many days I want to claim for I put 120 days as that’s what you get but does that mean it gets all given to me at the start or it will get paid to me fortnightly?? Because I wanna change it to only get paid for 3 days a week so 6 days a fortnight which then makes the payments longer then the 24 weeks instead of getting paid for 5 days a week…
If that makes sense….

You can’t make the payments longer than 24 weeks. It is paid at the minimum weekly wage across 24 weeks, fortnightly payments.

It means you want to claim all 120 days and no share days or leave any unclaimed.
You will set it up for 6 days a fortnight. It won’t be a lump sum.

Once approved you will be able to go back in on the app and adjust the pay weeks to 3 days per week, I just put Mon, Tues and Wednesday and select to repeat and it’s almost a year in total. You can also change future payments even after doing this.

You can't submit your claim until baby is born and you have the documents from your midwife
