Hello,
I've just had my 25 week check up with midwife and she said I'm measuring small but she isn't worried as should be bigger at my next appt in 3 weeks
Has anyone had this before?

I was also on my 25 week check up yesterday, and they didn't measure me at all. How did she do the measurements?

Are these first babies?
I'm not having a check up until 28 weeks, the 1st since my 20 week scan

Did she measure your bump? It’s not something they have to do from 28 weeks?
Yeah she measured the bump. She said not to worry as should be fine on 28 week appt 😂 but obvs I'm going to worry hahah
Yes it's my first child, it's mad how I won't get another scan though 👀

I always measured small with my first! From 28 weeks my bump was measuring small so they’d send me for a scan just to check how baby was doing and was always fine! I actually didn’t mind too much as I got to have quite a few extra scans which was nice :) he came out 1 week late and was 7lb so was all fine :)

My first baby measured small all the way through and he’s healthy. Was born 7.7lbs at 42 weeks (small for gestation)
My second baby I’m currently 28 weeks and she’s the exact same so far!
Ironically for both my bumps HUGE and measured weeks ahead! But growth scans showed tiny babies. When my waters went with my son I deflated like a balloon!

If this was when they measure your bump with a tape measure lol then yeah. My bump was always easily 4/5 weeks behind with my first 🤣 they sent me for growth scans endless times. My baby was born 7.8lbs at 39 weeks so I would just take it with a pinch of salt. It’s not gospel x

I’m on 3rd pregnancy and you do get less appointments. I had my 28wk last week, my appointment before that was 16wks so it’s felt like a long slog! But if you’re low risk, they don’t see the need. I was measuring bang on 28 which is the 50th centile. In my last pregnancy I was never under the 99th centile so hoping for a average size baby this time 😆🤰🏼

I wouldn’t worry they shouldn’t be measuring you until 28 weeks anyway

it’s so inaccurate for a lot of people isn’t it! I think it’s a practice that should be scrapped tbh!
