I need a bit of advice.
My 8 week old cries after almost every bottle. This is even when she does bring up wind which she also struggles to do. We have tried infacol, gripe water, colief, dentinox and they do sometimes help her bring the wind up but shes often still inconsolable for a bit. She brings her legs up, she also tenses them out straight. For a few weeks her stools have also been looser than normal and have had mucus in them. She did have a rash that started on her forehead and then spread to her chest and belly and onto her shoulders and arms and tiny bit on her legs. This has gone away now but she does still have red spots on her neck. I swapped her from Cow and Gate to Aptamil to see if she just didnt agree with C&G and since swapping she is still crying after feeds but is now spitting up even more than she did when on C&G. She is feeding fine, she will finish the whole bottle without crying, she is gaining weight.
Her crying tends to be the worst in an evening, it tends to start around 5/6pm every night so health visitor is saying it is just colic.
Has anyone any helpful advice or experienced this and what helped? Or do I just have to soldier on through it.
I feel robbed of the Newborn phase.

Sounds like CMPA, it won’t get better unless your baby goes on dairy free milk. Feel free to message me x.

My baby was going through the same thing none I tried c&g and aptamil but none of them worked and she all got rashes on her body they said it was eczema. As soon as she turned 12 months I started her on full fat cow milk now we don’t have any problems and also my older daughter when she was a baby she was the same. The formula would upset there stomach and like you said there would be that certain time where she would cry around 5-6 in the evening. I went through something similar nothing helped till we got on to normal milk hopefully your baby gets out of it very soon it’s not nice seeing them like this :(

Definitely CMPA x

CPMA, get to the get GP tomorrow.. poor lamb. Hope you are ok too xxx

We had very very similar. Our baby ended up having a missed tongue tie and didn't have cmpa but did really benefit from going onto goat milk formula for a while. We challenged with regular formula at 5 months ahead of weaning and he was absolutely fine on it then (after the initial adjustment period). I would give it a go before going straight to prescription formula personally but I'd also say that 8 weeks was a real peak for us. Things improved 12 weeks and beyond! We also saw a baby osteo and we were advised to do lots and lots of tummy time to help get gas out.

This sounds exactly like my boy at that age and he had CMPA. The relief I felt after the first day on his new formula was unbelievable. He just completely changed. I definitely recommend getting a drs appt and suggesting to them.
When I went, they were very quick to fob me off and called me a over reacting first time mum, so, just be prepared to stand your ground until you get listened to. I think it was about 3 appointments until I finally got a nice dr that suggested to try the prescribed milk for a month and go on from there x

If you have tried things for colic ect and nothings changed, id go back again and again until they listen and try other things. My midwife told me we no our babies best and no matter how annoying you think you're being, dont stop going back until youre happy with the outcome.
It's a really hard thing being a new parent anyway but, having the extra screams and worry somethings not right makes it worse. I hope your little one gets some relief soon too, and you! X
