Vbac stories in Oxford / Oxfordshire

Hello! Curious if anyone would be happy to share their experiences of Vbac in Oxford or Oxfordshire please? I had an emergency section with my first at the JR, and I'm now pregnant with no. 2 and figuring out which route to aim for. I'm hopeful for a positive Vbac, ideally in a birth centre or similar setting, but I'm told I should be having a consultant led birth ideally.

Any thoughts or experiences shared would be amazing 🙏

I had a c section in January 2023 for failure to progress. This was in a different trust as we have since moved. I had my second baby in November 2025 and achieved my VBAC. It was agreed that I could give birth at the Spires at the JR and the support I got was incredible. They went above and beyond. I was transferred out of the JR to the hospital bit at 8cm as my waters were pink and they had concerns but I agreed and felt that was the right thing to do. I maintained the same midwife throughout even with the transfer. Happy to answer any questions

11 weeks pp and pregnant?!

Im absolutely shitting myself, me and my partner have been so carefull (we use condoms and he also pulls out) but im late on my period and i cant get to the shop for a few days due to no car and im thinking im possibly pregnant. When i was pregnant before the animals were different the dog became more protective of me and the cat hated me and always tried to bite me. and they have recently been the same. Im trying to think if i have any possible early symptoms so i can convince myself im not 😂 the only thing i have is feeling sick alot and nauseous lol.
what was everyones first symptoms when you’ll were pregnant???

C section form

Anyone had to sign a contest form for their c section? And go through loads of risk factors of the surgery? I have mine tomorrow and had to do all that, I’m now terrified lol

Is this dress yes or a no?

We are going to Japan for 3 weeks in July and 13 of those days we are on a cruise. There is a bunch of formal nights and formal events and for some of them I’m doing a 80’s glam theme. I already got the dresses for those but I’m looking for some fun and fancy dresses that aren’t vintage also. I’ve been eyeing this particular dress for MONTHS. I kind of love it, but I think it might also be too weird 😆. What do you think?

Pelvic girdle pain and birth

I have been experiencing awful pain. More so recently. I'm now using crutches to get around but it's more painful at night and when I lay down or sit down. I'm worried about birthing. I've got other issues and baby boy is estimating 8pounds at 36 weeks. I've been booked in for an induction 9 days prior to my due date. Surely he's going to be even bigger and I just don't feel like I've had any birth discussions in detail really. Ive only seen midwife twice and each time I've seen a consultant it's someone different. Has anyone else experienced awful pelvic pain and birthed a big baby?
