Help! What baby mattress/ pad are we using for co sleeping? I assume it is not safe to place baby directly on the bed when co sleeping? I want to co sleep but am not sure how to.

Yes as long as your mattress is firm then baby can go straight on mattress. it wouldn’t be safe to put baby on a mattress / pad in your bed. Use the c position around baby

I’ve co slept in the bed with my baby since birth she’s six and a half months old now

Cosleepy on IG has a guide for the best form mattresses for different countries which we found super helpful

In co-sleep with my baby on a very firm mattress. I dress warmly and don’t let the covers come above my knees. Keep extra blankets and pillows away from baby and sleep in the C-curl position. Look up the safe sleep 7 for the safest way to co-sleep with baby :)

Sleep on you side with your knees bent, facing baby. Here's the song I used to remember the basics. To the tune of row row row your boat...
No smoke, sober mom, baby at your breast,
Healthy baby on his back, keep him lightly dressed.
Not too soft a bed, mind the cords, and gaps.
Keep the covers off the babe, for your nights and naps.
