Hi! I went through this with my last baby, 4 years ago. My husband did recognize on his own that I seemed off, but it wasn’t until his Mom noticed, and talked to him about it. I was in serious denial that anything was wrong, and really try to convince everyone that i was fine. I was able to slowly start talking to him about it, but i think what helped him understand, was outside support he had from friends and family. I think it was easier to listen to others for advice, and support because it was does a toll on them as well. Once i started being honest, and seeking my own help, it was easier too.

When I was postpartum I didn’t even have the words the convey what I was feeling so I had my friend who is a Doula speak to him for me. I think he responded really well listening to a professional speak about it much more eloquently than I could’ve. If there’s anyone you know, doctors, nurses, doulas, anything like that maybe give that a try 🩷
