Giving birth

Anyone’s else is intrigued by giving birth but also terrified at the same time. I don’t have a birth plan, just going with whatever happens on the day and is open to all pain relief.
Also would rather c section then to be inducted.

Am I being silly ?

I'm pregnant with baby number 3 and my first 2 births were totally different to each other. It's so different for every mum and baby but definitely don't go into it terrified. Your body was quite literally made to do this 🥰

I had spontaneous labour with my first and a vaginal delivery with an episiotomy. With my second I had to be induced but went on to deliver vaginally with a small tear. The induction process was hard and there's things I would change if I had to be induced again but overall it was a positive experience and nothing terrifying. I haven't had a c-section but if there's not a medical need for one then I'd avoid. It's a major surgery and the recovery is not always straight forward.

If you want to chat more about the induction I'm happy for you to message me.

What I will say though is induction rates are stupidly high at the moment and they often lead to unnecessary medical interventions so unless there's a medical need I personally wouldn't be getting one 💛

I didn’t have a birth plan first time either! I was induced and ended up in a section.
This time round I have declined induction and have a planned section unless I go into labour myself.
It’s completely personal preference! For me first time I wanted to try and labour vaginally but as it was such a long process (5 days) I declined that this time as I don’t want to leave my toddler for that long for the same outcome of a section.
My induction wasn’t bad it just didn’t progress but I was 38 weeks so I’m sure baby just wasn’t ready x

Feeling weird

Hey all. I went in for a reassurance scan this morning as I have been feeling consistent movement for the last few weeks, and then no movement since Sunday night, and some hiccups yesterday morning. While the nurse was doing my scan, she goes “are you eating enough?” Should I be worried about that comment? It has me feeling weird ever since :/

I can’t walk or move!

30 weeks pregnant and for the past week I’ve had this really weird pain all down my right hip, bum and leg. It’s like it all locks in place but if I bend down and I’m fine I come back up and get stuck. I can barely walk or move because every time I do I’m in agony. It’s so much worse at night time. Tried a hot water bottle on it and paracetamol and nothing seems to be helping it. Does anyone know what this is and what I can do to stop it?

Had a fall

I had a fall today and my OB recommended going in for monitoring but I’m terrified that they will try and do blood work when all my OB wants is fetal monitoring because I have a history of preterm labor.

Insomnia...

After two weeks of getting around 5 hours sleep a night, I've only managed to get an hour and a half sleep tonight and feel ready for the day - anyone else?
