Out of curiosity.
If we have to sterilise baby bottles, dummy’s ect.
Do we also sterilise baby cutlery?

I believe you do but i’ve stopped sterilising things as my baby is mobile and anything is in his mouth anyways 🥲 I just let it sit in boiling water for 10 minutes and wash things

Hi second time mum here! Guidance from what I’ve read before is to use warm/ hot soapy water to clean. I use a separate sponge to ours for my baby and keep her stuff on her bottle drying rack to dry. I think you could always use Milton cold water sterilising if the baby cutlery manufacturer instructions say you can sterilise. Never did it for my first and I was super conscious of what I did with her and she’s always been fine ☺️

Following as I don’t sterilise them so be interesting to know if I need to be 🫠👀

I don’t just wash it with baby soap and then pour boiling water over it but even the only when I remember

Spoke to our HV and they said we don’t need to sterilise baby food bits like spoons/bowls. Just wash in warm soapy water

I just chuck all the baby plates/cutlery etc in the dishwasher.

I don’t, just wash them with some soap, rinse well and let it dry on a clean surface… I still sterilise anything that has my milk in (pump, storage bottles, etc), because I read that’s in case there’s a bit of milk residue that will grow bacteria.
My LO puts everything in his mouth nowadays so not sure what’s the point in sterilising anyway 😅

Thanks ladies!
I think I’ll just hot soapy water like normal.
I think it’s all abit overboard this sterilising stuff and I’m the same with the everything goes in there mouth anyway!
