TMI: No judgement please but do you think I should go to a hospital tonight or I’ll be fine til my appointment next week?

A gush of brownish red blood came out, like it squirted out while I was standing. I’ve been cramping the past few days, I’m supposed to be around 7 weeks pregnant but at the last appointment doctor couldn’t really tell even with the vaginal ultrasound..there was a faint heart beat but I’m kinda worried I’m miscarrying

Oh no! Hey if you don't have midwife then yes go hospital they will give you a blood test and ultrasound asap

Was it mostly brown or was there bright red in it? Whatever feels best for you, I would personally go in alone to confirm but at that very early stage even if you were miscarrying it might be worse to hear it at the doctor if they've got no bedside manner.. I've had both a positive experience and a negative miscarriage experience at ER :/ I really hope all is well, I know it's scary, if you're going to wait just monitor and keep track of whether you're losing enough to fill a pad. Implantation bleeding COULD possibly cause the brown but if it's bright red.. it's hard to say. Take care of yourself 🙏🏼 really do hope you're okay and baby is safe💜

I don’t wanna sound rude but yes you can wait until tomorrow. If something bad has happened then it’s already happened and going to the hospital sooner or later won’t change things. Hopefully you’re fine, these things can happen and you can go on to having a healthy baby but there’s not much they can do at 7 weeks. I’d only go get checked emergency wise if you were bleeding through a big pad in less than an hour

I hope you & baby are ok 🤍

agreed! If you feel more comfortable waiting, then wait till tomorrow. At this point of the pregnancy, sadly really nothing can be done. So do what makes you feel best

PLEASE GO!! DON'T WAIT

Try calling your doctors' after-hours line. A triage nurse should be able to ask a few questions and advise on if you need to be seen right away

With my 1st miscarriage it was just brown blood. With the other 2 is was bright red and brown. If something has happened going to the hospital now won't change anything. They can't do something if you have had a miscarriage. I hope the best for you!!! <3

I was bleeding at 6 weeks with my first pregnancy. Doctor told me to go to the ER, which I’m glad I did, because they told me that the baby was ok, but that I had a subchorionic hemorrhage and told me not to do much movement. So even though they couldn’t specifically do anything there to change the situation, they put my mind at ease and gave me vital advice to help preserve the pregnancy. That being said, you can probably go first thing tomorrow morning.

Obstetrician led

I’m having shared care between midwife’s and obstetrician.

My previous pregnancy I had extra growth scans as baby was measuring big and I had pre-eclampsia during labour and a full dilated emergency C-section.

This time round I’m having obstetrician appointments, midwives appointments, cervical length scan every two weeks from 16-22/24, and extra growth scans again .

I’m just finding it all a lot to process can anyone let me know there experiences and if they went on to have a happy pregnancy despite it

Mums that have kids🥰

When you gave birth and came back home with your newborn. When people wanted to come visit you straight away. How did you feel?

Everyone has different experiences I’m so curious x

Movements

How are people with no obvious ‘pattern’ monitoring baby movements?

My babies movements vary so much day to day, there is no pattern I can see whatsoever.

For example, over the weekend i felt him a few times during the day but nothing crazy, Monday & Tuesday he was wild in there and I felt movement on and off all day, today back to a few times.

When it varies this much I have no idea how I’m supposed to work out what is ‘normal’ and when to be worried!!!

Midwife visits

how many PP midwife visits have you had and at what point??
I’m 3 weeks PP tomorrow, had a midwife come out on day 1 and then day 5 and got told at the day 5 visit that a midwife would come out again once baby has reached birth weight so that we could be discharged, yet she’s been back to birth weight for a week and we’ve heard nothing from midwife’s. all contact now seems to be only from a health visitor but she’s not coming back until another 3 weeks.
Should we have had another midwife visit post day 5, or have atleast heard from them during this time…? 15 days no contact at all makes me assume i won’t?

I’m currently pregnant and me & my partner have booked a 4 night break away to Greece next may. Our baby will be 9/10 months old. We are leaving him with my parents.

I’ve had a couple comments from people saying I should not of done this. I don’t no how I am going to feel after having a baby ect ect. I feel I will be fine as he will be 9/10 months.

Has anyone left there baby’s under one for a few days/week?
