I don’t understand why people are still going to turkey or Egypt when their FCDO advise it worse than Dubai yet they’re still going there? Dubai is probably safer than those two put together whilst all this war stuff is going on….

Exactly, I want to go to Dubai in a few weeks but have been absolutely slated for going….
The travel advice for Turkey and Egypt relates to the border with war torn countries and has always been there. The tourist spots are miles from there.
The FCDO advices against all but essential travel to the entirety of the UAE so if you travel there your travel insurance won’t cover you for a holiday
FCDO haven’t advised against travel to Turkey and Egypt in tourist areas. It’s only in areas by the borders where it’s advised not to go that’s been the case for years
Turkey and Egypt are always on the travel advisory due to the border issues.
They both don’t currently have missiles being launched at sky scrapers but you do you. My friends in Dubai and Qatar have been evacuated by their companies and their children are pretty damn shell shocked over the safety alerts and sounds of the bombs.

I hate the irony of “Dubai or the gulf is safer than england” in some aspects it is.. but in some aspects it’s absolutely not and I’ve lived there for 3 years.
