My little girl recently got her first pair of shoes, which she absolutely hates. The shoes fit nice, so that doesn't seem to be the issue. She just has an absolute meltdown every time they go near her feet.
I've tried putting the shoes out with her toys so she can interact with them without pressure. We've also been putting them on her dolls and teddies so they seem a bit less scary. This has helped a bit, however she still will not let me get them on her feet without screaming.
Does anyone have any advice on how to get her to wear them without her losing her mind? She's a good little walker and she's desperate to be out of the pram walking outside, but obviously doesn't understand that we need the shoes to do this.

My daughter was the same, she had hysterical meltdowns! I had to sit her on my lap and show her that “Mummy is putting shoes on to go outside” and repeated then I put her shoes on and took her outside. She cried a little bit after an hour of repeating, she got the idea of it xx

Took my daughter a good month to like her shoes! I only put them on when we went to the park or something so she associated them with going outside and having fun
