I’m 36 weeks pregnant and I’ve suddenly developed a massive anxiety around anyone standing behind me. My husband is annoying me so much because even though I’ve told him how it makes me feel, he’s continued doing stuff in our kitchen (that is tiny anyway) and sliding past me to grab things. I know the baby is safe even if I were to bump the bump a little but even the thought of it is still making extremely anxious. How do I cope with this feeling and is anyone else going through the same sort of thing?

Doing more research into the protection baby has in the bump could help to reassure you as they are cushioned in there. Also thinking about how much midwives have to press down to be able to feel baby's position, a little bump will likely be even less pressure than that and they are absolutely fine with those checks so it could be helpful to remind yourself of those situations and spending some calm time just feeling baby's movements to know that they are okay and also relish in the relaxing aspect of that x

I’m a little clumsy and I’ve bumped my bump into numerous things! From door handles to kitchen countertops and so many other things and my baby is fine. I know people who had falls and still had normal babies. I used to get super anxious too but they’re way more cushioned and protected than we think
