Weaning

Anyone feeling a little lost with weaning, should I be offering my 7.5 month old 3 meals a day? I don’t know by what age how much they should be eating?😩

I think half my problem as well it maybe I don’t eat the most nutritious breakfast and lunch 😂 I never cooked lunches from scratch but I also have a Velcro baby so cooking in itself is a mission

My 7 month old is not interested in food so im not to worried, she hits herself in the face with her spoon and manages, sometimes to get some mashed banana in her mouth 😂, she also likes gnawing on cucumber but thats about it. She is certainly not going to do anything with three meals a day but feed it to the dog 😆

I am offering 3 meals a day but my LO doesn’t necessarily eat much at all, she is the same age as yours. I’ve followed lots of Instagram accounts and done some batch cooking which has made it A LOT easier to have stuff ready in the fridge and freezer and I’m keeping it really simple at the moment because a lot of it goes in the bin 🤣 I think if they eat what you give them then great, but even if they have a few spoonfuls that is also great. I bought the how to wean your baby book and it’s been really helpful for stuff like that, I’ll send you a couple of pics below which might be helpful! ❤️

My daughter is 7 months and we do 1-2 “meals’ per day. Whatever fits best with our schedule.

She’s still not eating much so they’re defo not full meals, more like a table spoon of something. Could be a single fruit or veg, or could be a pasta with salmon for instance. Depends.

She hates anything puréed or to be fed with a spoon and a lot ends up on the floor.

Just to note do you know any adults who don't eat meals and just drink milk? Cos babies will get to it when they get to it, try not to worry

See if they have a weaning class in your area. I'm going to one on Thurs near me x

My daughters EBF shes only on 1 meal a day if that most days i don’t bother, the meals i do give her i might be lucky enough to get 4 spoonfuls into her shes not bothered about food
Its all about giving them the opportunity to explore with different tastes and texture rather than filling them up
Imagine you only had milk for 7 months then someone starts shoving weird foods into your mouth its all so new to them 😂 please try not to worry

Hi mummas! I need help with potty training?

My daughter is 4 years old, she will be turning 5 this November. I’ve tried everything I can think of, to help her and encourage her. I’ve tried bribing, I’ve tried sticker charts, I’ve tried buying her underwear of her choice— nothing. She’s suspected autistic. She will not try. She will sit on the potty at nursery for a few minutes and that’s it! At home, nothing. Any help would be greatly appreciated 🎀✨

Advice on Co-parenting

So me and babies dad split up last November and we have been co-parenting since, my issue is though that the dad doesn’t follow my routines and basically does his own thing all the time. My little boy has been full of this nasty cough for weeks now and the dad sent me a photo of him this morning hardly dressed, basically in a baby vest and leggings, when I questioned this he replied ‘he doesn’t need to wear a top all the time, I have the heating on, he is fine’. I tried to explain to him he still needs to wear clothes whether the heating is on or not, he’s full a cold and babies need an extra layer of clothing than what we would wear. He’s ignored my message. Last time he returned him to me, he returned him half dressed, in clothes that were dirty and wet and the same clothes that I had dressed him in a few days before. Whenever I ask for updates on him, my ex always gets arsey. I know I need the break away from baby as I have him 24/7 but whenever he stays with his dad I absolutely hate it and can never relax. I just wish he would listen to me and follow my routines and take care of our child properly. Anyone else been in a similar situation and what did you do? It’s getting to the point where I don’t want him staying over but I know I can’t stop this as he has parental rights 🫩
