Sleeping through

If your baby is sleeping through the night are you ever nervous about saying that to other parents with babies of the same age? My toddler no longer sleeps through without coming into our bed but did until about 11 months old and now my 11 week old has been sleeping solid for 3 or 4 weeks now. I always feel like I can’t say it to other mums because it comes across like I’m showing off…I know what the sleep deprivation feels like and how you can just resent anyone for anything🤣 but I kind of feel like I can’t relate sometimes.

YES! My LO has always been a good sleeper. Only woke up once from around 8 weeks, went through 4 month regression and has slept through since around 5 months (is 6 months today). I always feel like I'm judged if I tell people this like everyone is assuming I'm bragging. I also feel like I can't say I'm tired to another mum because 'your LO sleeps through so you'd never really understand' ...

My daughter slept through from 3 months old and I told people you should be allowed to tell people without feeling bad it would be the same as saying that your child started crawling, walking, talking they all do things at different stages and you shouldn't be made to feel bad for it

Yep..we have a great sleeper and i always underplay it and say 'well for now!' I do feel so much for people who dont get to sleep..it changes your whole experience of parenting so I wouldn't lie about it but I probably dont volunteer it x

I never think of someone with a good sleeper is showing off, it’s only when people try and relate it to something - “have you tried white noise?” “We have a routine!” - that you also do and you’re still not getting anywhere near sleeping through that people end up a bit resentful. The sooner I realised some babies are just Good Sleepers I became a lot more at peace with the whole thing haha x

Not sure what’s wrong- 5months

Has anyone experienced any of the below problems with their baby?
He’s always a happy baby so this is completely not him. He’s a terrible sleeper but now it’s worse, if it could.

He’s was EBF but now on formula for the last 2 weeks. 2 days in a row now he’s vomitted a lot of milk out everywhere in the evening and just before bed.
For example I was walking around the room with him around 18:45 and it just came out of no where everywhere.

He’s very miserable and takes ages to get to sleep. Crying lots.
He’s been dribbling a lot, flushed one cheek but I can’t see any teeth coming.

All night he just won’t settle in his cot. Sometimes just starts crying hysterically and I can’t settle him at all.

A very tired mama.

Any advise on what it could be?

Help

My 5 week old is always up from 1am every hour grunting and squeaking and just won’t sleep. I end up having to bring him with me and I’m worried I’m creating a rod for my own back. I’m exhausted. First half of the night he’s okish. But from 1/2 it’s absolute hell. He farts a lot then as well but I just dunno what to do. Last night was the worst it’s been.

When do I drop the dream feed?

14 weeks old currently has last awake bottle at 7pm, then is asleep by 8ish downstairs.
Carry her up and she usually stirs so ive been giving her 5oz dream feed.which she drains
Then she is up at 2-3am for another feed and goes back down till 6/7am ish.

When do I up her oz bottles throughout the day and drop the dream feed?

She currently has 5oz bottles..80% of the time drains them, sometimes only has a little snack

Side sleeping baby!

My little dude is 4.5 months old— he sleeps the best when he is on his side and when we pat his back. Whenever he shifts or moves to his back, he is much more likely to wake up (he’s already not sleeping much these days😅)

Do any of you have any suggestions for what works best for your little side sleepers to stay on their side? Or any items you use to help pat/move them overnight so you can also sleep?😅 TIA!

Burnt out.

Will my child EVER sleep thru the night again? My now 10 month old has been waking up for the past month I believe 2-3 times a night, he has been unwell the last few days and prior to that he was up. I was co sleeping didn’t really help so anyone who asks if I’ve tried that, there’s the answer 🤣

He does have teeth coming, I have been giving teething gel and massaging, singing, comforting, feeding thru the night. Tonight he got up and was just whining like not even crying, he noticed the cot mobile and played with that. I got up to make milk bc I can’t carry him and do anything now, he’s heavy! He started screaaaaming, I got him and just sat on my bed, it’s one of the reasons I’ve been struggling a lot mentally bc I’m just SO TIRED from disturbed sleep, it makes me so snappy and ugly. Does it get better? He was such a good sleeper straight thru the night from 4 months old if I remember correctly, I just need at least 7 hours straight man. It’s getting to a point where I’m doubting myself if I’m even built to be a mum bc why is this so frustrating he’s my child and I’m supposed to be his safe place 😞💔
