If your baby is sleeping through the night are you ever nervous about saying that to other parents with babies of the same age? My toddler no longer sleeps through without coming into our bed but did until about 11 months old and now my 11 week old has been sleeping solid for 3 or 4 weeks now. I always feel like I can’t say it to other mums because it comes across like I’m showing off…I know what the sleep deprivation feels like and how you can just resent anyone for anything🤣 but I kind of feel like I can’t relate sometimes.

YES! My LO has always been a good sleeper. Only woke up once from around 8 weeks, went through 4 month regression and has slept through since around 5 months (is 6 months today). I always feel like I'm judged if I tell people this like everyone is assuming I'm bragging. I also feel like I can't say I'm tired to another mum because 'your LO sleeps through so you'd never really understand' ...

My daughter slept through from 3 months old and I told people you should be allowed to tell people without feeling bad it would be the same as saying that your child started crawling, walking, talking they all do things at different stages and you shouldn't be made to feel bad for it

Yep..we have a great sleeper and i always underplay it and say 'well for now!' I do feel so much for people who dont get to sleep..it changes your whole experience of parenting so I wouldn't lie about it but I probably dont volunteer it x

I never think of someone with a good sleeper is showing off, it’s only when people try and relate it to something - “have you tried white noise?” “We have a routine!” - that you also do and you’re still not getting anywhere near sleeping through that people end up a bit resentful. The sooner I realised some babies are just Good Sleepers I became a lot more at peace with the whole thing haha x
