I’m an over thinker.. would you think as 1 parent would feel bad being the primary parent going to doctors etc by myself that I should feel guilty the dad wasn’t there for the first heart beat?

So I can see it being a cultural difference or even personal preference (dislike of hospitals or feels low connection to the fetus).
I accidentally went to my appointment by myself, for my second kid. My husband was devastated that he didn’t get to hear the first heart beat with me. He wanted to be there. Especially since he was there for the first kids first heartbeat.
I would just ask and talk about it. Leading with curiosity and understanding goes a long way in most cases.
