Newborn outing

When did you first take your newborn out in public places? He’ll be 6 days old tomorrow, is it too soon? It’s just I have a 4 year old and it’s Easter holidays so I feel bad staying in x

As soon as you feel ready. I was desperate to get out asap with both my babies. Especially when it’s number 2, it’s so important to keep doing things for your first if you’re able to do so ☺️

I went out on the 2nd day after returning from the hospital for a walk along the river we then did some shopping the day after in the mall, just kept him generally away from people untill he had his first set of vaccines but itll probably be diffrent with my 2nd now as i take my first to playgroup

Mine was 5 days old as he had an appointment anyway but it did feel good once I was out!

I hadn't till he was abt 6 to 8 months but he had no immune system due to the meds I was on for my crohns.

About 5 days I think? But just to a local cafe. Though I was careful about him around other people as they’d immune system is so compromised so young

I was in a pub meeting a friend with her on day 5 - looking back I think I was off my head doing that 😂

I was at a gymnastics class with my 2 year old and a 36hour old baby 😂

I was out a couple days each time

About 1 month for a walk to the park and back.
Every situation is different though! We were kept in hospital almost a week and I couldn't walk or stand for long for weeks after!
Also very different when you have another child too!
Personally wouldn't take out at a week old but i know people that have!
Just be careful and babywear

Trust yourself. I took my baby out when she was 7 days old, on a bus trip to meet my husband in another city for a st food festival. I needed to get out to the house, get some fresh air and see people. Do what you have to do.

Honest truth about C sections

I am a first time mother having an elective c section. I’ve been told that it’s a shame I am doing an elective as thank God my baby is healthy. I need to know is a C section better than a birth? If you have had both please share your experience below !

Two parties on the same day, WWYD?

Our DS was invited to his nursery best friend's birthday party one month in advance, we immediately confirmed. The party is 2 to 4pm.

About a week later we got another party invite from some long time friends. The party is the same day but from 12 to 2pm on the opposite side of the city, so it will take a 40 minute drive to get from one to the other. This child used to be best friend but they haven't been available to meet for the last year, so I was thinking about skipping this party. However, my child keeps asking about them and it is possible for us to attend, just complicated. So thought I would go and leave early (stay for hour and a half instead of 2 hrs) and go to the other party around 10 mins late.

Is it too rude to leave the first party early? We are staying for most of it. Or is it better no just not go?

What would you do?
