Visitors

At what stage are you allowing visitors to meet baby? I always worry baby isn't vaccinated yet and don't want them passed around people. What's the standard timeframe for starting to allow people to come and visit? Baby is 3 weeks old at the moment

My baby is 5 weeks and we’ve just had close friends and immediate family atm. Anyone else can wait until after her 8week jabs - especially with meningitis going around atm people should be understanding

We have had visitors since early on. We have a toddler at preschool surrounded by germs so unavoidable for us x

I let people visit from we got home but i didnt offer anyone to hold him & no one really asked to either!

We do have a 2yo who goes to full time childcare so hes subject to all the germs anyway😭

How do you protect your baby from getting sick from your toddler? Do you just try to keep a distance between them?

Baby sleeps with his head turned mostly to one side ?

Little one is 4 months and I’ve noticed he has a favourite side to turn his head and it’s very slightly flatter than the other side due to him always facing that way, even when he’s awake he faces one way. He can turn his head both ways but even when carrying him he always looks left. I’ve even tried switching his position in the crib but he still prefers one side. and When he’s sleeping I gently move his head to the centre so he’s looking straight but he moves it back to one side after a while. He does suck his thumb on one hand so I guess it could be to do with that? I just don’t want him to have a wonky head or face bless him, has anyone had this ?
I might go to the GP

18 months and started asking up during the night..

My son is 18 months coming up this month and he’s been in a bit of a routine for a while now. Still takes time going to sleep on a night etc but he’s started waking up crying 1/2 times but screaming.. if I bring him into bed he goes back to sleep so he can’t be up and he’s done with his sleep? But can’t also leave him screaming at 2am or 4am what could it be? He’s not hungry as if he’s hungry it’s a different cry I know it and he wouldn’t go back to sleep at all

Can you overfeed a formula baby?

My 5 week old is eating 4oz every 2 hours on the dot! Is it possible that we are over feeding him? No he does not spit up often, he will fuss at the 2 hour mark (wake up from sleep as well) until he gets his bottle.
We offer the pacifier after feeding sometimes but I’m worried about offering the pacifier when he fusses incase I miss the hunger queues.

Would you make a birthday registry for your kids?

My 2 sons are having their 3rd and 4th birthday together. Everyone’s asking what to get them and last year I told 2 people the same thing. I don’t want to do that this year. But I don’t know if it’s rude to make a registry or if people would feel some type of way.
