You got to introduce him on how to express his feelings. Say I know you are upset but biting doesn't help. You can distract him by giving him a toy.

Emotional regulation, time out, or I heard a lot of moms bite back to show them it’s not okay.

I would advise to redirect the first time. If he continues, explain that teeth are not for biting, it hurts- using slightly exaggerate facial expressions and gestures and then move him away to “keep mama safe”. There’s actually a book called “Teeth are not for Biting”. I used another one with my daughter from the same series, the “Hands are not for Hitting”, we read it each time she hit me or her dad and they explain and illustrate what things teeth/ hands etc can be used for instead. She has stopped hitting since either the book helped or she grew out of it who knows. I think it’s worth a try to get some visual learning material to help promote his understanding of what’s happening. You could even get him a chewie toy to bite down onto in the case it is a sensory issue or teething related. Toddlers are impulsive and annoyingly it’s very common at this age and stage to hit/ bite/ kick and test boundaries or take their frustrations out on other people.

If he’s in your arms put him down right away. Let him know that you won’t hold him if he bites mommy

What is everyone putting their baby in if they fall asleep downstairs during the day?

My baby naps downstairs during the day but is outgrowing his Moses basket and I don’t really have the room for a travel cot downstairs. I have a next to me crib upstairs in our bedroom as well as a cot in his bedroom but if I move him upstairs he doesn’t seem to go to sleep🫣🤣. Any advice or recommendations for what to use downstairs would be greatly appreciated🫶

1 month old!

First time mama to a 1 month old perfect boy!🩵
For the first 3 weeks of his life doctors ignored me about his symtoms and suspected CMPA (cows milk protein allergy) because im a "first time worried mum" It took for him to start pooping blood for them to listen!

5/6 days into him having his allergy milk, 8/10 of his symptoms have cleared up& i have a happier more content baby!🤍

Trying to build milk supply

Hi all, I’m 3 weeks postpartum and i’m thinking of switching my baby from formula to breast milk. I’ve only just started pumping but it’s taking so much energy out of me. Does anyone have any advice?

Constipation

Has anyone experienced constipation with their formula fed LO? Mine is 4 weeks old and formula fed and the last few days he’s really struggling to pass any stools, and is straining and crying when he tries. Today he hasn’t gone at all. I’ve tried infacol which hasn’t helped. Any tips or advice would be really helpful, it’s horrible seeing him in pain.

Baby will only sleep when held - it’s ruining my mental health

I have a 10 week old baby who will only sleep when held day or night. It’s ruining my mental health.
I spend hours every day trapped under him in silence with white noise that gives me a headache because I’m so sleep deprived. I feel stiff and sore. I feel lonely, bored and frustrated. Every attempt at transfer just fails. I have tried every trick in the book short of buying a snoo. He absolutely hates the carrier. I feel like a terrible mother because I’m supposed to be enjoying the snuggles. But they feel forced. I’m trapped until he wakes up for a feed and change. Only then I have literally 5 minutes to quickly go toilet or eat something- do a small chore. I have no one who can help and take the pressure off me. Friends are too busy 😢 There is no village so there is nobody to help. Family live far and are dysfunctional af so I can’t even go to them😭😭 We co-sleep, which I hate. I feel terrified I’m going to wake up and find him passed out. I thought I’d break the cycle and never make my son feel like he was difficult to love. But 10 weeks in, I’ve already failed. He’s not choosing to give me a hard time. He’s a baby who doesn’t know how to sleep alone and needs my help, and I’m struggling to meet this need. He has reflux and possibly colic too now which is making me even more sad for him and depressed. I’m not looking for practical advice on how to get him sleeping on his own. Trust me, I have tried every practical advice i have found online so far. I’m looking to vent and for similar stories or for advice on how to cope with the isolation of this mentally, or any words of comfort.

Please I’m desperate.

There seems to be no end in sight.

I don’t know how to carry on like this.

Am I giving my son just enough during feedings?

My son is going on being 9 weeks old, and he's been going between 2 1/2 to 3 oz per feeding, every 2 hours, but lately he's been spitting up a lot after having 3 oz. I just want to make sure he's getting enough during feedings, and I feel like a failure. (I'm a first time mom.)
