Pay query - two weekly

Hi I'm starting a new job next month which is paid 2 weekly in arrears, e.g. work 1st - 14th get paid the following week on the 21st

I'm used to having a full months wage on the 15th, and I'd like to 'pay myself monthly' any advice on how to do this I'm struggling to figure it out

I remember working for BK when that changed from 2 weekly to monthly. I would definitely make sure you have a lot of savings, because I remember how many people were broke when that happened. If you change job again, you'll need the reserve.
You could either take out a new bank card, and pay all your money into the separate card on the 15th. Alternatively you can create a bank account in your bank account, then transfer the money around in your online banking before/on the 15th

Could you try a getting your wages in to a different account that you don’t have access / a card to use then transfer the money over to your normal account monthly.

Yeah it will take a few months for you to get used to it. I know you’ve not got long left but can you try saving some money before hand to top up that first month?

Due date today

It's my due date today feeling super excited. My recent hospital appointment they told me that my blood, urine and blood pressure was all at an okay range so I could stay at home and let baby come naturally. I'm so chuffed. No pushing for an induction or any intervention so am over the moon. Ive decided that I might take a sweep if I go a week over but for this next week am happy to just get the oxocoytin going. Is anyone else's due date today? How you feeling? Any plans for interventions? What are you doing with your time xxx

Don’t know what to do

I’m so stressed right now I’m 6 weeks postpartum and I don’t know what to do I have a appointment at 11 tomorrow but I started bleeding again and aches and my head and neck hurt and my abdomen is tender and swollen. So I called my OB and she wants me to go to er but my baby is sleeping and husband doesn’t answer or get off till 12-1 and I haven’t even pumped anything so idk I just kinda want to wait

EDIT: I went and I have my appointment tomorrow but they were glad I came in because warning signs and they said I was good. But I’ve had a fever and abdominal pain still so not sure!

Nervous about buying things!

Although there is still lots of time until my due date (Easter weekend), I am very apprehensive about buying things in fear of jinxing anything!

It’s has taken a long time to fall pregnant and I don’t want anything to go wrong.. is this usual? 🫣

Pre-e and hypertension after birth

Has anyone needed to go to the ER for high BP after giving birth? What’s the process? I’m afraid of just getting my BP read every 15 min for 4 hrs just to either get sent home or admitted and put on magnesium for 24 hrs.

Those of you who’ve either had pre-eclampsia or gestational/postpartum hypertension, what blood pressure meds are you on? I got home from the hospital last night after giving birth on Monday and I was just told to monitor my BP and go to the ER if I get either 160 top number or 100 bottom number. I REALLY wish they had prescribed me something but they said to just go to my OB in a week for a BP check.
