Is this a good enough reason to consider doing a weight loss pill?

I am a big emotional eater/bored eater. I hate it and Ive tried so much... No matter what anytime I'm bored or sad I can't stop myself.all I think about is food and no matter what or how much I eat I always want more until I literally get sick...Do you think that's a good enough reason to go on weight loss pills?

Weight loss pills won’t solve the underlying issue.
If you can’t stop eating until you get sick I would suggest therapy. That is what helped me to get back to a healthy eating habit after 15 years of disordered eating, which included eating until sick

To me this sounds like an eating disorder which is why I’m voting no. I think that would need to be addressed prior to starting meds for weight loss

As someone whos simular i would personally say no, weight loss pills/jabs are a great invention dont get me wrong, but if you dont learn to control your eating/emotional habbits thrb whatever weight you loose you will put on again once you come off the weightloss pills, looking for a health coach will probably be a better idea, someone who can help channel your habits to somthing 'healthier'

(I hope this comes off well not trying to be harsh or anything as im very much in the same boat with emotional eating i just try to focus on fruits and keeping 'healthier' snacks in the house)

I think counseling, in addition to medication, would be best. Have you heard of Binge Eating Disorder?

Can you do things, keep yourself busy so you’re not “bored?” I’m always out i take my boy out every day mainly to get him something to do but also to hit my daily 10k, by me being out I don’t have time to snack, and when I’m home I find things to do to keep myself busy (also so I can hit my 10k) I feel like I’d be bored if I didn’t find places to go/someone to meet/things to do. I’d suddenly feel like going ikea so I just msg my friend “I’m going ikea if you wanna meet me there” she comes we have a good day out we do sit and have lunch and coffee but once that’s up we’re back up walking again for the next couple hrs until I drive home.
The girls above are right, even if you do go on pills and that helps you lose weight, if you ever stop the pills the weight would slowly creep back on anyway coz the underlying issue is still there. We can’t stay on weightloss pills forever. To sustain that weight we need to change our lifestyle to suit.

Hiding my pregnancy tips

I’m currently 17 weeks pregnant and I’m only getting bigger by the week and my home environment isn’t the best because of two people who are constantly saying things behind my back and escalating things are not making me feel safe enough to express my pregnancy.
With that being said, for anyone who had to hide their pregnancy until they felt safe enough to show it to the world what did you do to hide it or protect your peace?

Have you had this experience ?

I had my anatomy scan last week and baby looks great! 🥹 Everything looked normal, which was such a relief. When I reviewed the official report afterward, I noticed a diagnosis code that said “Supervision of high risk pregnancy,” and of course that made me a little nervous.

I messaged my doctor about it, and she explained that technically I’m labeled “high risk” because of my starting pregnancy weight (206 lbs), but she reassured me it’s not something they’re actually concerned about in my case. She emphasized that everything looked great on the ultrasound, baby is healthy, and I’m doing amazing so far.

That definitely made me feel a lot better, but I’m curious—has anyone else been told they’re technically high risk just based on weight around 200 lbs? 🥴

Post partum body pain

Was anyone else's body just destroyed after pregnancy? In a physical sense, not just worried about how it looks.

I am just in pain pretty much all over, I have shooting pains in my feet and ankles, I have what seems to be plantar fascitis and all sorts of foot issues causing me pain but my legs hurt up to my knees most days. I have awful back pain and shooting pains in my pelvis which I wake up with every morning. I'm also exhausted pretty much all of the time.

I used to gym 5/6 days per week lifting weights and now I feel like I can't even climb the stairs most days.

I just want to get back to living my life, not feeling crippled. Has anyone had the same?
