How much formula?

I’ve recently stopped breastfeeding and am now onto formula but my little girl seems to be drinking more than recommended, is this okay? She was a frequent feeder when breastfeeding but never fed for that long and I obviously never knew how much she was drinking. Our formula recommends 4-5 x 180ml bottles a day but my little one is having 7 bottles a day, 5 of them 150ml and then a couple she probably drinks 120ml. Does this sound like a lot?

Mine was having 900-1000ml per day. She’s on 2 meals a day atm, so it’s dropped to around 800-900ml. I’d say the amount your LO is having sounds normal. X

I wouldn’t worry to much it says on the tin this is recommended and every baby is different. If you add up the recommend it comes to 900ml. If you add up what little one is eating it’s 990ml so not that much extra. xx

Two things I am curious about! Not a problem, just intrigued to see what others are doing

1) My nearly 7 month old still can’t roll! She has been sitting unassisted for a while now but still has 0 interest in rolling during the day. At night I can see her on the monitor desperately trying to get onto her side but can’t yet.
How old was everyone’s else’s when they started rolling?

2) when did people start dropping night feeds? My formula fed daughter has 1 bottle in the night at around 1! Not sure when I should think about dropping this? She wakes another 2-4 times in the night but just for the dummy.

Snoring partner

My partner snores. It’s so loud I can hear from another room. I normally sleep with ear plugs when I can’t take anymore but that won’t be possible when baby is here. Has anyone else experienced this? Did your partner see a doctor? What worked for you? It’s currently 5:30 and I’ve been woken by it 6 times. I feel insane.

silly question…

How do you guys break the attachment to smaller clothes your baby can’t fit anymore and get rid of them? I’m cleaning out my daughters drawers today and feel my heart hurting with each piece I take out 😩

Night feeds 15 weeks old formula fed

Hi everyone 😊

Just wondering what others do about night feeds…

My baby is 15 weeks old and formula fed. She’s gaining weight, but not loads, so I’m a bit unsure what’s best.

If she has a bottle around 9pm, would you usually wake your baby in the night for another feed, or just let them sleep until they wake up?

Would love to hear what worked for you and your babies at this age! 💛

How are you setting boundaries with your 14 month old?

I have no idea how to set boundaries with my 14 month old and basically give in always. She screams and cries when she wants things she can't have and I just get so overstimulated and cannot handle it so give in. She's a hair puller and I've even given in on that too and just let her rip and break my hair.

Mum in need of help here 😭

Who hasn’t given their baby a dummy yet and is BF?

We gave our little boy a dummy at 3 days old, we struggled to get him off the dummy, he had it until he was 3 and I felt he became super reliant on it and wouldn’t nap or sleep without it.

My little girl is 9 weeks- we haven’t given her a dummy- I haven’t felt the need to even though my husband told me to give her one when she’s been unsettled at night. I’ve always managed to settle her - she’s BF and definitely uses me for comfort. She will be our last baby and if I’m honest her comfort feeding seems to stop me in my tracks, soak it all up and enjoy it so I’m happy for her to not have a dummy.
the past week she’s been sleeping 6-7hours at night.
However I’m super anxious about SIDS as I know dummy’s are advised for BF babies.
I wasn’t too worried as while she was sleeping longer stretches I was still waking up every few hours and checking on her. But now I’m sleeping the same amount she is.

What’s everyone’s thoughts? I feel we’ve done so well without one but my anxiety is getting the better of me.
