Just been told we have to have a C-Section. First time Mum!

Hey girlies! I'm a little scared. Just been told we have to have a C-section due to pregnancy complications. I was really hoping for a water birth. Just wondering if I could hear some positive stories and tips on recovery. Like how long is it until you can go out the house after a C-Section etc? When do you feel normal again? When can you work out and is there certain exercises you can't do?

Side sleeping post C-section

When did everyone start sleeping on their side again post CS? I’m almost 5 weeks, tried it last night again and I just cannot bear the feeling. It doesn’t necessarily hurt but the feeling of ‘emptiness’ in my stomach is all I can describe it as, is absolutely awful and I can’t get my head around it.
I think it’s still in my head as well something can go wrong and it become infected or something, I’m just massively overthinking it!

Can anyone give me advice or tell me why?

Midwife rang me yesterday to book the first appointment.
I’m 4 month post partum so only seen her a few month ago. She sounded really pissed with me, asked multiple times if I wanted to carry on with the pregnancy. I’m 9 weeks on Monday.
This is my third baby.
Look I get why she’d sound pissed I’m aware your meant to wait and I’m aware of the risks. But this is her job and I felt really judged on the phone. ( This is not my question)

She said she’d book me in for Wednesday then I’ll get a scan a few days after at the most a week. I will not be 12 weeks then, Is it because this pregnancy is a high risk hence the early scan?

Advice

I’m 15 weeks pregnant, first time mum, I’ve had so many issues and scares this pregnancy so feel like every chance, twinge, pain or ache is just worrying.

I went to my gp yesterday as I’ve had bad backache and belly ache/ belly twinges the last week, I thought it could be a uti as I know they’re common in pregnancy but they said it was all clear, they gave me a weeks worth of antibiotics (amoxicillin) just incase but I woke up this morning and my back feels like I’m heavy on my period, I have pcos so my period pains where quite rough😩

Is this a normal feeling or should I be concerned?

Water Breaking

Hey! I’m terrified my water is going to break and I won’t realize it. I’m due Monday. Anyone have any symptoms to look out for?

TMI but:
- Watery discharge is normal for me and something I get randomly
- The amount of said watery discharge already varies and always smells like nothing
- I’ll also randomly get a big clump of discharge that looks like mucus frequently

Basically, a lot of the symptoms of your water breaking, I get whether I’m pregnant or not. I talked to my doctor about how to tell and he basically said the same thing. When I told him it’s all normal for me, he kinda just shrugged and didn’t say anything else other than “Oh, don’t worry, you’ll know”.
